I’m always asked about the unique and strange items I’ve sold on eBay in the past 20 years. This area of my website will be dedicated to the stories behind the interesting items I’ve sold. Dipping into the 27,000+ transactions, I’m sure I can find some great items with great stories behind them.

Fall 2018
Reel to Reel Tapes! We started working with Revilla Grooves & Gear in Milltown, NJ in summer of 2017. Darren is a great guy, and very knowledgeable about records and music equipment. He gets in a lot of great items for his store. He gives it a chance in the store, and if it doesn’t move, he funnels it to us. In the Fall of 2017 he gave us a nice collection of rock, pop, soul, easy listening reel to reel tapes. The prices we got for these were mind blowing! Take a look:

Hummels! – We have just completed selling a large collection of Hummel figurines and collectibles. We usually do not take in Hummels for sale on eBay due to their low selling price, however, this collection was almost 200 pieces! The entire lot sold for over $7,300! We shipped them all over the world too! Averaging about $38 per Hummel, we are very happy to have made our customer some serious money this holiday season.

Soul record collection – We’ve been selling a 12,000 count soul vinyl collection over the past year. Wow, what a collection! These records were plucked out of a foreclosed home in northwest NJ. The previous owner was a label executive. Chock full of NMT soul 45s, 12″ singles and LPs. Tons and tons of promos. Here is why this collection is better off with us as opposed to being sold off to a dealer. We’ve sold 700 pieces from the collection for a total of over $24,000, and we have over 11,000 pieces left to sell!
A dealer would have paid $1,000-$2,000 outright for this collection. We’ve made our customer over $12,000 in net income from this collection, with several thousand pieces of vinyl to go!
We are looking to consign or purchase LARGE (500 piece) music collections, including vinyl, CDs, and reel to reel tapes. Rock, soul, jazz, alternative, punk, we’ll take it all!
